This Privacy Policy explains how The Straw collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, contact us, join rewards, place an order through a linked service, or otherwise interact with us.
01
Who we are
The Straw is a locally owned beverage café at 4640 Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, Tennessee 37076. For privacy questions or requests, email TheStrawCafe@gmail.com or call (615) 852-5285.
02
Information you provide
You may provide your name, email address, phone number, order details, rewards information, feedback, or other information when you contact us, join a program, make a purchase, or interact with a linked service.
Payment details entered through an ordering or payment provider are handled by that provider. This website does not store full payment-card numbers or security codes.
03
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider may process basic technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, and security logs.
The site stores your cookie choice in your browser. If you allow analytics, Metricool receives the page address, referring page when available, and browser-window dimensions, and uses your IP address to determine your country. Metricool states that its website tracker does not set cookies. We load this tracker only after you allow analytics, and you can withdraw that permission in Cookie settings.
With the same analytics permission, Google Analytics processes website visits, device/browser information, traffic sources and clicks on ordering, delivery, telephone, directions and rewards links. It uses first-party analytics cookies. Our website configuration disables advertising storage, Google signals and advertising personalization. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers entered by visitors or purchase details through our custom click events. Clicks to other services are not confirmation of completed orders. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
04
How we use information
- Provide website, ordering, rewards, and customer-service experiences
- Respond to questions and resolve order concerns
- Operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve our services
- Send marketing only where permitted and honor opt-out requests
- Prevent misuse and meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations
05
Linked services
The site links to services operated by other companies, including Square ordering, Google Maps and reviews, and social-media platforms. When you follow those links, the provider may collect information under its own privacy policy. Those services control their own privacy practices.
06
Cookies and similar tools
Essential browser storage supports core site functions and remembers your privacy choice. Metricool and Google Analytics help us understand site use when you allow analytics. Optional marketing tools may measure advertising if those tools are connected later; none are currently loaded.
Read our Cookie Policy or reopen Cookie settings at any time.
07
When information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help us host the site, process orders or payments, manage rewards, communicate with customers, or protect our services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights and safety.
We do not sell personal information.
08
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, business records, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
09
Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from marketing through the message instructions and change optional-cookie choices through the footer. Depending on where you live and which privacy law applies, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information.
To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10
Children
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.
11
Visitors outside Tennessee
Information may be processed in the United States and in locations where our service providers operate. Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction, and we will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
12
Policy changes
We may update this policy as our website, services, or legal obligations change. The revised date at the top tells you when this version became current.
