What is salted coffee?
Salted coffee refers to coffee prepared with a small amount of salt. It is a different idea from adding a salted caramel flavor to a latte. Those names can sound interchangeable, but they do not describe the same recipe.
The original version of this guide discussed adding salt to brewed coffee. For our current selection, start with the hot coffee menu. It includes Fresh Brewed Coffee, espresso drinks and a Salted Caramel Mocha Latte. Ask the team whether a particular off-menu preparation is available.
Choose by the flavor you enjoy
If you enjoy a straightforward coffee, consider Fresh Brewed Coffee or an Americano. If you like espresso with milk, a Caffè Latte or Cappuccino offers another starting point. A salted caramel mocha is a flavored coffee choice for someone who enjoys that combination.
The best fit depends on your taste. “Salted” is not a promise of more caffeine, less sugar or a particular sodium amount. We do not have verified nutrition or caffeine measurements to publish, and this guide does not rank one drink as healthier than another.
Milk, creamer and flavor
We keep regular milk and creamer for coffee, along with caramel and chocolate flavoring or syrup. Some drinks use almond or coconut milk. Ask which options are available for the coffee you choose.
